Project Description

Holy Week 2017

Lent is a 40-day journey where we reflect on Jesus’ temptation in the wilderness and His journey to the cross, as well as our own need for repentance and renewal. The end of Lent is marked by Holy Week—an important time in the church. Please join us for the following services. The nursery will be open for all services except the Easter Sunrise service.

Palm/Passion Weekend — April 8/9
5:17 p.m. (Sat.) Contemporary
8:15 & 9:30 a.m. Traditional

Palm /Passion Sunday is the sixth Sunday of Lent and celebrates Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem.

Maundy Thursday — April 13

Maundy Thursday marks the end of the Lent season. It is when Jesus gives His disciples a new commandment and celebrates the Lord’s Supper. Our Maundy Thursday services include First Communion and our Living Last Supper, where through song, church members act out the final meal that Jesus had with his disciples before His journey to the cross. Come witness this wonderful tradition!

Good Friday — April 14

It’s on Good Friday that we remember the betrayal of Jesus and His suffering and death on the cross.
