And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.”

– Revelation 21:5a

King of Kings is getting a face lift! If you haven’t noticed then you haven’t been around church enough. The new siding is going up and it isn’t blue, its tan. It is totally new! Do you wonder if that color change on the outside also reflects the change going on in the inside of King of Kings and the new things God is up to in our church?

The other day my husband Dave sent me a text right after I left the house and had said goodbye to him. He wrote,

“You look extra special today because I can tell your spirit is in a good place and your smile makes you really beautiful.” Isn’t it true that what God does on the inside of us really does have an effect on what everyone sees on the outside?

As we abide in Christ and focus on God and allow his love to change us from the inside, pretty soon that is what everyone sees on the outside. As we lift our faces to Him; He in turn gives us a face lift! People will be able to see it in how we act or react to situations and trials. They see our kindness, gentleness, patience and how we love one another. God is a creator and he really is in the process of making everything new!

I really think the color change on the outside of King of Kings does reflect all the great things God is doing on the inside and I am getting excited about the connections and friendships that are forming and the ministries, missions and worship that are happening here. They are not only changing us as individuals but also as a community of believers. I can tell you, I don’t want to miss any of it! If God is going to do something new than I want to be a part of it!

So I have to ask you, how are you being a part of the new things that God is doing today? Are you coming to worship and getting involved in things outside of worship? I hope you feel a nudge from God to take a step further into this community of faith and watch how God uses that to make a difference in your heart and in the heart of others!

There are so many things that are happening this holiday season and YOU get to be a part of what God is doing here at King of Kings as he makes all things new! Take a look at our website and sign up to get into the action! It is sure to bring smiles…a free face lift!

Blessings!
