Transforming Grief Into Growth: A Grief and Loss Support Group
Hospice of the Midwest—MN will be facilitating a support group in October called Transforming Grief into Growth for those experiencing grief and loss in their lives. Our four-week group sessions will offer insight, understanding and tools through your own loss process. Recommended for those persons with loss greater than six months. Various topics to be delved into include Understanding your Grief/Stress, Communicating our Needs to Others, Growing through Loss/Experiencing Healthy Sadness, and Goal-Setting/Living Hope. The group will meet on October 3, 10, 17, 24 from 6:30–8:00 p.m. There is no cost, and the group will meet at church. If you have questions, please contact Sue Oberg.
Alzheimer’s Association® Caregiver Support Groups
Alzheimer’s Association® caregiver support groups, conducted by trained facilitators, are a safe place for Caregivers and family and friends of persons with dementia/Alzheimer’s or memory loss to develop a support system, and exchange practical information on caregiving challenges and possible solutions. It is a place to talk through issues and ways of coping, and a safe place to share feelings, needs and concerns while learning about community resources. King of Kings will offer two different times for these support groups:
• Every second Wednesday of the month from 2:00–3:30 p.m. Room 305 Contact: Pastor Kent
