Project Description

Walk in the “Footsteps of Martin Luther” with River Cruise and Passion Play

In August 2020, come along on a 10-day learning tour through Germany. We will explore the history of the Protestant Reformation, experience the beauty and culture of Germany, and attend the Oberammergau Passion Play–held only once every 10 years. Our tour will take us to the church door where Luther nailed his 95 Theses, into the village where Luther studied and was ordained, and to Wartburg Castle where Luther translated the New Testament into German. We’ll explore Berlin & Munich, and take a cruise on the Rhine River. Finally, we will attend the Oberammergau Passion Play, a truly unique experience. Held only 1 year each decade, the play is an 8-hour religious experience, telling the story of the Passion of Jesus.

Tour Dates: August 13-22, 2020
Cost: Estimated $4,500 Double Occupancy (single supplement $780)
Signup Deadline Extended: October 15, 2019 – King of Kings has reserved 20 tour tickets; reserve your spot on the tour as soon as possible by contacting Elizabeth Hendrickson
