Project Description

Music Ministry Needs

With fall programming beginning soon, our music ministries will be in full swing once again! In order to provide for the life and vitality of the music and worship ministry at King of Kings, we have some needs and goals for our ensembles that we hope to meet. God has blessed us with a congregation full of talented people. Please prayerfully consider how you can help us meet our needs and reach our goals!

The King’s Heralds Brass Ensemble – This group is in need of a competent and experienced French horn player. Much of the music being considered for our ensemble includes a savvy French horn player. Without one, alternate music will need to be chosen.  If you are a competent French horn player or know of one, please consider our ensemble. Rehearsals are Sunday mornings from 10:45-11:45 a.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room beginning September 8.

JuBELLation Handbell Choir – We’ve got more bells to be rung, so we are in need of more people that are wanting to become good campanologists (bell ringers). We are particularly seeking individuals that can read music notation as well as those that are comfortable lifting larger bells on a regular basis. Rehearsals are on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary beginning September 4.

The King’s Choir – Our mixed choir is blessed by the number of singers we currently have, but we believe there are more individuals out there with vocal talent that can help our ensemble grow and be used to the glory of God. This is a great opportunity to join in the hard work as well as the fun of singing praises to our Lord and Savior. We are in particular need of basses and sopranos, but ALL are welcome to join us! If you don’t read music, we will help you! Rehearsals on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary beginning September 4.

All the King’s Men – Our men’s ensemble is looking for more to join our community of male singers. We are welcoming all parts, whether you are a 1st or 2nd tenor or a 1st or 2nd bass. We work miracles for those that can’t read notes, so don’t let that stop you from joining! We have great mentors in the group to help you become a welcome addition to the group. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 8:15-9:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary beginning September 4.

If you are interested in participating in any of these ensembles or know of someone else that can help us achieve our needs and goals, please contact our Assistant Director of Traditional Worship, Jim Lindstrom. You can also contact the church and leave a message for Jim or Chris Vorrie, our Director of Worship Arts.  Thank you for your prayerful consideration!
