500 King of King volunteers
Providing 30,000 families a sustainable source of food
Partnering with Willow Creek Community Church, Illinois
King of Kings will once again be a satellite location for Willow Creek’s annual seed packing project that seeks to bring awareness, engagement, and change through partnerships with churches across the world. This is a fun, family-friendly service activity where volunteers measure and place garden seeds into envelopes. Each seed pack will supply a global family with enough seeds to grow a garden that will produce a sustainable source of food and income for their household. In just two short hours, a volunteer will pack enough seeds to provide food for approximately 60 families—and learn a bit more about global hunger.
April 7 shifts: 10:30–11:30 a.m. (Set Up shift) / 12:00–2:00 p.m. / 2:30–4:30 p.m. / 4:30–5:30 p.m. (Clean Up shift)
Children 6 yrs+ are welcome to serve alongside a parent.
