Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Care Ministries

It is the mission of our congregation to feed spiritual hunger and the hunger to be in community, and it is our intent to extend that to those who are in need of care during a time of trial, sickness, aging, loneliness and grief. We have a variety of care ministries designed to help you through those times and many volunteers and staff ready to walk with you or to help in other ways.

If you or someone you know from our congregation needs some extra care and love through a rough time in life, please contact Sue Oberg at sue.oberg@kingofkingswoodbury.org, call 651-738-3110, or fill out the Care Request Form below to get connected to the support needed.

Are you or someone you know experiencing job loss, financial difficulties, divorce, grief, loneliness, illness, empty nest, or any other difficult situations? You might consider getting together with a BeFriender.

A BeFriender is trained to provide a confidential, non-judgmental listening presence to those they visit. They are not counselors and do not give advice; they listen with compassion and pray with those they visit. The BeFriender Ministry represents the caring presence of God, brings comfort, is a connection to the community of faith, and serves as a tangible reminder of God’s love and grace.

If you feel a BeFriender could offer the support you desire, please contact Sue Oberg at sue.oberg@kingofkingswoodbury.org

The King of Kings Prayer Shawl Group knits and crochets shawls for those going through difficult times within our church home and community. If you or someone you know is going through a difficult time and would benefit from knowing they are being prayed for and covered with God’s grace and love, then please contact Sue Oberg at sue.oberg@kingofkingswoodbury.org or fill out the Care Request Form.
Spending time with God in prayer is an important part of our daily faith life. We encourage you to share your joys and celebrations, griefs and struggles to be lifted up in prayer by our prayer ministers. All prayer requests will remain confidential. Please email your requests to prayer@kingofkingswoodbury.org
Caring Casseroles is designed to provide a meal(s) to individuals and families in our church who are “in need” due to surgeries, illness, new baby, death in the family, and other unforeseen circumstances. If you or someone you know would benefit from this ministry please contact Sue Oberg at sue.oberg@kingofkingswoodbury.org or fill out the Care Request Form.
