Small Groups

Are you looking to grow spiritually? Do you long to have a stronger faith but not sure how to do that? Are you looking to make new friends and build relationships?

This is a great place to start!

Growing spiritually doesn’t happen just when we know what Jesus says. It happens when we put His Words into action in our lives and we do that best when we are connected to others within a community of faith. King of Kings offers many opportunities to grow stronger in faith and to be in closer community with others. No matter where you are in your faith walk, we invite you to come, learn and grow in God’s love with others. Please take some time to look through these groups and discussions below and see where God is leading you so you can grow stronger in Him.

If you have questions about any of these opportunities and how you can get involved, please contact the individuals listed with each group or contact Pastor Scott. We would love to help you on your journey of faith!

When: Sundays at 8:30 a.m. from September through May
Where: In person in West Adult Ed, and via Zoom – contact Jim Ries if you are interested.
Who: Everyone!

Our current study is Law and Grace by Samir Deokuliar. Grace, love, and forgiveness are very important teachings in the Christian faith. Have you ever read the Old Testament and wondered if we are even talking about the same God? The Old Testament often sounds so harsh, unyielding and legalistic. Samir Deokuliar will provide insight on what seems to be the contradictory teachings of the Old and New Testaments.

God’s GALS is a ministry for adult women who are looking for an in-depth bible study, fellowship, service and fun. Every meeting consists of a combination of large and small group study time. Each year, the group comes together for at least one service project and has celebrations and special events that add to the fellowship and learning experience.

Take Courage: A Study of Haggai
God’s GALS invite you to join them in a seven-week study called Take Courage: A Study of Haggai by Jennifer Rothschild. The book of Haggai is short but packed with truths that will help us see God’s faithfulness and steadfast love in every aspect of life but especially when we get distracted and feel discouraged. God’s presence with the Israelites when they returned from exile will speak into our lives today and help us learn more about who God is and how He calls us to take courage.

The study is offered every other week*:
Wednesdays 9:30–11:30 a.m. starting January 19  Contact: Annette Sherrill
Fridays 9:30–11:30 a.m. starting January 28  Contact: Leigh Rekow
Saturdays 8:30–10:30 a.m. starting January 29  Contact: Kathy Becher
*see schedule as there may be adjustments to accommodate District 833 calendar breaks/days off or leader preference

Cost of the study is $10 to King of Kings; please purchase your own book from Amazon or Christianbook.com. Click here to Register by January 10.
