Summer Activities

When school lets out, things really get going around King of Kings! From family camps to community service programs, we offer many opportunities to keep you and your children engaged and involved the whole summer long. To see the camps offered for Summer 2017, download the 2017 Summer Activities booklet at right!

Youth Leaders: We are always looking for energetic youth volunteers (age 15-18) to lead summer camp groups. Teams of leaders work with groups of 8-12 kids throughout the week and take part in various activities with them. In order to become a leader, youths must complete an application and provide one outside recommendation. For the Youth Leader Application & Recommendation Forms, click on the links to the right.

To Register: Unless otherwise indicated, go to our Registration Page to register for events.

Camp Wapo/Ox Lake

The time is now to start planning for summer camp at Wapo. We have a limited number of spots reserved for King of King 4th-9th grade students during the week of Youth Camp (July 23-28) at the Wapo site. It is VITAL for families to register early as we usually fill our slots within a very short time period. Registration opens January 15. Slots are available on a first-come, first-served basis. When our reserved spots are filled we may not be able to add campers to our week.

New This Summer: Dan will be taking 6th-8th grade students to one of Camp Wapo’s other sites, Ox Lake! While keeping many Wapo favorites like Gaga ball, canteen, worship, and campfires, Ox Lake brings in more adventure-style programming with horses, a ropes course, canoeing, and more! Middle school students from King of Kings will have time at Ox Lake to connect and learn together with special programming from Dan.

Again this year, registrations must be made online through the Camp Wapo website at If you do not have access to a computer; Patty Bishop or a Children, Student and Family Ministry Staff would be happy to assist you with your registration.
