Student Leadership Opportunities

Completed 5th Grade
Ready to be more than a VBS camper? Are you ready to learn some leadership skills that you can use in your everyday life? Consider applying to be a 5th Grade Student Leader for Roar! VBS. As a 5th grade student leader, you will assist station leaders, keep kids engaged in the activity and can even try leading a piece of the activity.

Completed 6th – 12th Grade
Our middle and high school leaders are the backbone of our camps. They get to walk alongside our campers and help them to see God in our everyday life. As we welcome over 400 campers to King of Kings, we need close to 100 student leaders to help our campers have an amazing time. You too will grow in your faith and be challenged to try new things. Bonus, you can use this leadership experience on part-time job and college applications!

All Student Leaders must complete a Student Leader Application. New Student Leaders must have someone complete a Student Leader Recommendation on your behalf. Both forms are available to the right.
5th Grade Student Leaders must have a short (5-10 minute) conversation with Mrs. Paula.

College and Adult Volunteers
Help us reach over 400 kids this summer with God’s love. How can you help us? Station leaders and volunteers are needed at VBS. Volunteers to help at stations are needed at American Girls Camp. The main requirements are to be enthusiastic about working with kids, be patient and kind, willing to speak in front of groups of people and a love for Christ. We’ll help you with everything else! For more information, contact Paula Arland at paula.arland@kingofkingswoodbury.org.

All adults over 18 are asked to completed a yearly background check prior to working with our children.

Additional Volunteer Opportunities
Additional volunteer opportunities for VBS include transforming King of Kings into an African savannah starting with projects in March, helping set-up stations with supplies in late spring, donate items, and pray for our campers, volunteers and camps throughout the summer.
