POSITION: PT Weekend Custodian
REPORTS TO: Lead Custodian
Position Description
Works alone and/or with minimal direct supervision while maintaining the church building and property in a clean and orderly fashion.
The following are tasks representative of the custodial services necessary to maintain the premises:
General cleaning; including windows
Responsible for setups for events and meetings.
Spot cleans carpets and removes stains.
Sweeping.
Mopping.
Washes, cleans, disinfects bathrooms, mirrors, and water fountains.
Dust.
Replaces supplies including paper towels, toilet paper and soap.
Replaces burned out lamps.
Gathers and disposes trash and recyclables.
Removes snow and salt the sidewalks, as necessary
Adjusts heat and air conditioning as necessary to maintain comfort and
economy.
Assists with the maintenance of building security (all locked
doors/windows).
Notes condition of facility and grounds and reports to Lead Custodian any
details necessary to address during the week.
Other duties as assigned
JOB SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
Strong attention to details and focused.
Dependable and strong work ethic.
Good organizational skill with the ability to complete the assigned tasks
efficiently and effectively.
Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds sometimes repeatedly in set ups.
Strong people skills.
A love and desire for cleanliness and organization.
Initiative to go beyond assigned tasks to get the job done.
A mature faith, a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, commitment to ministries of King of Kings, a signed King of Kings Staff Covenant, along with membership in the congregation and worship at King of Kings are requirements for all employees.
