How to + why we give

Stewardship is a way of life. It is our way of acknowledging that God is the Creator and Giver of all things. If we understand that all we have is a gift from God, then returning what is rightfully His should be a celebration.

Why We Give

Stewardship is not a program or a method of fundraising; it is a way of thanking God for all His blessings by returning a portion of all that He has entrusted to us. As disciples of Jesus Christ we see ourselves as caretakers of all God’s gifts including our time, talents (skills and capacitates) and financial resources. Our gratitude for these gifts is expressed in prayer, worship, offering and by action. Like singing songs in worship, giving is a way to praise and thank God for the blessings he has bestowed on our lives.

In the Bible, God teaches us how to give by committing a tenth of our income to the church. For many Christians, this is an area of growth; yet in order to create a heart of generosity, we must first be willing to take the initial step to make giving a habit.

May God bless you as you discern your response to what God has so freely given and thank you for your spirit of generosity.

Children Education Programs

There are over 900 children between the ages of 3 and 15 enrolled in education programs and camps at King of Kings. Your gifts provide resources, materials, instruction, and funding for these classes and camps that are shaping the lives of this generation.

Worship

On any given weekend, King of Kings hosts approximately 1000 worshipers at two services, both in person and online. Your gifts support dozens of behind-the-scenes volunteers and employees that make these services possible and impact lives every weekend.

Mission

King of Kings has mission partners across the Twin Cities, the country, and the world. Your giving impacts our mission work from Woodbury to Arusha, Tanzania and helps us to share Christ’s love with the world. Click here to learn more about our partners.

Benevolence

Each year, King of Kings donates tens of thousands of dollars to support different charities within our community and beyond. These donations are made possible through our operating budget and your gifts. Our partners were selected by King of Kings ministry teams with the approval of the Church Council.

View the Connect & Serve page to learn more about our benevolence ministry and partnerships.

Building Expenses

King of Kings is a 96,000 square foot building with over 50 rooms where services, classes, meetings, and studies take place each week. Your giving funds the various utility, maintenance, and mortgage expenses; and makes our church the beautiful and welcoming place it is.

Other Ways to Give

Aluminum Cans: The retired men collect and recycle cans to fundraise for different costs around the church. The most recent project funded by our aluminum cans is the installation of an accessible door at the Ready Set Grow entrance on the east side of the church. Drop off your empty aluminum cans in one of the many designated trash cans located around the church. All sizes of donations are welcome from a single can to a loaded garbage bag!

Kowalski’s Groceries for Good Causes: King of Kings is part of this awesome program at the Woodbury Kowalski’s location. The Groceries for Good Causes Program donates a portion of customer’s spending to a charity or non-profit of their choosing. The program is simple: After paying for your groceries, place your receipt in the designated King of Kings box located near the exit and a portion of your spending will be donated to our church!
