About King of Kings!

King of Kings Lutheran Church is an extension of the Woodbury area we serve. We welcome you into our space where all our members worship and grow together!

Who is King of Kings?

King of Kings is a family of faith who support and nurture each other with the goal of building a stronger community. Our door is open to all—we believe that worshiping, serving, and learning together brings us closer together and closer to God.

We’re a Lutheran Church in Woodbury, Minnesota
Our building sits atop Radio Drive in Woodbury where we’ve been blessed with a strong physical presence. We know serving our local community is only part of our journey and that God’s love reaches all around the world. We aspire to witness and support God’s work around the globe so that all may know and experience His love!

Our Vision
King of Kings is a family of faith that seeks to grow together in faith and service while making an impact in our community. People understand that they play a vital role in the ministry of King of Kings through the use of their time and resources.

Our Values
•Building Community: Drawing people together, King of Kings seeks to support and encourage one another throughout their lifelong journey of faith.
•Growing in Faith: Grounded in Scripture, King of Kings seeks to foster and encourage spiritual growth throughout all aspects of ministry.
•Living Generously: Sharing our gifts of time, talents and financial resources, King of Kings members understand the importance of our partnership in carrying out the ministries of this family of faith.

As a congregation we focus on the preaching and teaching of God’s Word, both Law and Gospel, with an emphasis on the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His work of redemption on the cross. This Gospel not only provides hope and comfort but it also challenges us in terms of our walk of faith and calls us to new life. As a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, we uplift and affirm the Lutheran Confessions, Creed and the Authority of Scripture.

Our Mission

Our Mission is simple, “Centered on God our mission is to feed physical hunger, spiritual hunger and our hunger to be in community.” As a body of faith we not only seek to address the effects of physical hunger both locally and globally, but our hunger to grow in faith and to be in community with other believers.

What to Expect

We know it can be intimidating to walk into a large building, and our hope is to make it as comfortable and friendly as possible. Which Door Do I Enter?

Can I Bring My Younger Kids and/or Infants?

Children are welcome in Worship! At King of Kings, we encourage families to worship together as our children learn by example. For our younger worshipers, we offer busy bags when entering the worship area. We typically have a connection point as part of worship that engages our students and summarizes the message in a fun and easy to understand way. Adults tend to enjoy this aspect of worship as well.

The Lamb’s Gate Nursery has fun toys, games, and snacks for your child to enjoy while you attend worship or other events at church. The nursery is staffed by trained King of Kings members and volunteers who have completed prior comprehensive background and reference checks and have first aid training.

The nursery is open during all worship services. It is located at the end of the west hallway between the Sanctuary and the Holy Grounds Cafe. To learn more about our nursery, contact Andrea Villanueva.

Pre-K to 5th Grade: Visiting kids ages Pre-K to 5th grade are invited to take part in our Kids of the Kingdom Sunday School program. Simply print the Visitor form, fill it out, and bring it when you check in your child at the Children’s Education Room.
